Our big boy Sarge is not wellâ¦.  There is something serious going on with this digestive system.  He is a LARGE boy 70KG or at least wasâ¦.. he has lost a lot of weight quickly recently.     He does not seem to be able to hold his food well.  He eats very quickly and the next day, his stomach is bloated like a balloon and he is very flat and lethargic.   We have been trying to feed him a couple of small meals a day and not give him a lot of kibble but mainly chicken mince and boiled rice.

I dont know much about bloat but it appears to be what it is. Does anyone have any experience or advice on this condition?

He has already been to the vets and they could not really give me a diagnosis.Â

Here are some photos of him with my daughter Sabrina.   It has taken us a very long time to allow him to be around the kidsâ¦.. and he is just fine. I am still extra cautious as he is sooo large and his tail could hurt them unintentionally.Â

He is such a gorgeous boyâ¦. so glad he was returned to SR after a week after we adopted him out.     returned for some behavioural issues which has been worked on and is now doing so well.  He is a prime example of how people should give their rescue dogs time to adjust and settle down.  I think it has taken us over a year before we allowed the kids to be in the same room as him.  There is no way I am giving this boy up⦠no matter how difficult he may have been.  We decided to keep him as one of our pack and faults and all and he is with us to stay.
